 We represented defendant shareholder and officers accused of RICO violations in connection with investments made in their company. After we completed a video deposition of the plaintiff and established key facts supporting our clients’ defense, the case was dismissed by the successful motion for summary judgment we filed for our clients. We then defeated the investor’s appeal.

We negotiated a confidential settlement for a privately-owned software development company that sued under a technology licensing agreement with a publicly-traded corporation that also invested in our client. We defeated an attack on the complaint seeking dismissal of key claims and exposed certain flaws in the testimony of key defense witnesses that were videotaped. The case took less than a year from service of the complaint to confidentially settle.

Property owner sued business operators for environmental cleanup costs of over $3.1MN. Business owners sued our client for indemnity and contribution under common law and state and federal statutes. After completing key discovery, we filed a successful motion for summary judgment and our client was dismissed from the case on the eve of trial.
